What are the most significant cases or transactions you and your team have been involved in?
In 2021, our legal team has not only supported the day-to-day business of the company. It has also made a critical contribution to the process related to the acquisition of our company by a new parent company.
In what ways do you see the in-house legal role evolving in your region over the next few years?
The in-house legal role is becoming increasingly more relevant since companies prefer to turn to in-house lawyers to support their activities rather than asking for external support for litigation and specific cases. Yong lawyers are becoming more interested in a career in-house and all the relevant legal issues interconnected with businesses.
Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?
Since the early start of the Covid-19 pandemic, working from home has been imposed on our employees. We have realised that remote work allows us to carry out tasks in a very efficient and technically organised manner. Therefore, a turn to technology and the use of devices, platforms, and appropriate security measures have already had and will keep having a critical impact on the in-house legal team as we advance.
