An in-house lawyer since 2000, Silvana Tsitsirigou progressed through the in-house ranks of Germanos and Olympia Development Holding before taking on her current role, as director of legal and compliance at leading integrated pharmaceutical company Pharmathen in 2011. Speaking on the subject of her role with the organisation, she said, ‘working for Pharmathen has given me the opportunity to be involved in challenging projects alongside excellent and very experienced colleagues.

Just some of the projects that I have dealt with during the last three years include the acquisition of the major stakes of the company by BC Partners in 2015, the reorganisation of Pharmathen Group in 2017 and the negotiation and signing of the multimillion international facilities agreement 2017’. She and the company have exciting and wide-ranging plans for the future as well, as Tsitsirigou explains: ‘I anticipate 2018 to be another promising year as new demanding goals are set in both the legal and compliance sectors. These include on time and successful implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDP licensing of the parent company in the Netherlands and the conclusion and implementation of new policies and processes’.

A lawyer with extensive experience at senior level, and who is equally as comfortable with M&A, real estate and corporate legal work as with pharmaceutical-specific matters, Tsitsirigou is a major credit to her organisation and an exceptional professional in legal and business contexts.
