Listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, Terna Energy is a Greek renewable energy company that pulls in an annual revenue figure of approximately €160m via its operations in the energy, construction and real estate sectors. One of Terna Energy’s brightest legal talents recognised as one of the best in-house lawyers in her sector in Greece is legal counsel Dimitra Chatziarseniou, a graduate of the University of Athens who first joined the wider GEK TERNA Group in 2000.

Speaking of many highlights throughout her in-house career, Chatziarseniou explains her ‘successful handling of big real estate transactions’ that gave her the opportunity to ‘deepen my knowledge in the field [and] obtain acute judgement on business issues’. A proven expert in the renewables sector, she has handled large acquisition, procurement and EPC agreements in the US, enabling her to be ‘familiar with a different and very appealing legal system’. The core responsibilities of her department include being ‘actively involved in the day-to-day operations’, the provision of ‘preventive legal support’ and for the team to act as a ‘legal “help centre” [to] eliminate future disputes and litigations’.
