Multinational retail company Jumbo has been at the forefront of the Greek child and baby care retail landscape for over 30 years. It has over 50 stores in Greece and many more located across the Balkans, creating a complex and demanding set of responsibilities for Ioannis Economou, vice chairman of the board of directors and legal counsel, to handle.

Fortunately, he is an extremely experienced legal manager who combines sound business acumen with an inside-out knowledge of the company’s operations; he originally joined the company in 1995 providing him with over two decade’s worth of experiences to draw from. His dual role on the board of directors and as part of the legal function, as well as the company’s multinational operations translate into a steady stream of projects to complete and challenges to address.

One recent example is the company’s opening of a new major store at West Park Retail centre in Bucharest, an endeavour which required significant cross-border expertise and in-depth knowledge of the company’s international supply chain to complete successfully.
