Since transitioning to Greece’s in-house market in 2008, John Psomas has demonstrated a high level of technical legal knowledge and business-orientated advice. In December 2013 he joined the Greek branch of French beverages company Pernod Ricard, assuming his current position of head of legal and compliance officer.

At Pernod Ricard Hellas, Psomas plays a key role in advising senior management on strategic matters, cooperating closely with the management team of all its departments in addition to handling all legal matters of the company, directly reporting to the company’s CEO and the European legal department. A key part of his role is holding responsibility for Pernod Ricard’s IP rights, brand security and data privacy in Greece. Prior to his role at Pernod Ricard Hellas, Psomas was senior legal counsel for the Panos Germanos group of companies, handling legal matters for three of its key subsidiaries between 2008 and 2013. Before this he enjoyed successful private practice spells at Drakopoulos Law Firm and Bregiannos Law Firm.
