With a legal career in Greece that spans over 20 years, Paris Passias is one of the country’s most respected in-house lawyers. In 2015 Passias joined Greek shipping giant NAVARONE as legal director, and since then has played an active role in the organisation’s strategy of further expanding and diversifying its position in the global shipping market. Passias has been commended for his role on a number of international initiatives.

Prior to NAVARONE, Passias had a brief spell as general counsel of Greek food production conglomerate Vivartia. During a three spell as a partner at Kitsaras Passias Sfikas Tsantitis Law Firm between 2011 and 2014, he was heavily involved with NAVARONE developing a great understanding of its business and relationships with its senior management. Passias had a distinguished career at Hellenic Telecommunications Organisation (OTE Group), the largest telecommunications provider in Greece, between 1999 and 2011. Working as general counsel for the last five years he led a team of 65 lawyers advising the board of directors, the CEO and the management team on a wide range of issues such as negotiating international financing instruments, international M&As and international capital markets and stock exchange regulations. Passias began his professional legal career at Rokas and Partners law firm in 1997, has a PhD in law from the University of Hannover and can speak four different languages.
