Focus on: Antigoni Papanikolaou
After graduating from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Antigoni Papanikolaou studied at the College of Europe in Belgium, where she obtained her LL.M. in European Legal Studies. Antigoni also participated in the ERASMUS programme during which she attended the LL.M. in EU Law at the University of Leuven, Belgium. Antigoni did a “stage” at the European Commission, Belgium, and an internship at the European Court of First Instance, Luxembourg, first in the cabinet of the Belgian Judge, Professor Koen Lenaerts and then of the Greek Judge, Mr. Michael Vilaras.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Antigoni worked as an associate lawyer at Eleni M. Papakonstantinou and Partners, Athens, and then as in-house counsel at Coca-Cola Hellas, Athens, where, among other things, she supported the activation of local sponsorships and the Torch Relay program of The Coca-Cola Company for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. She then moved to Papastratos CMC, a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, in Athens, where she was responsible, among other things, for the legal support of the sales and marketing departments and was a member of their management teams. Since 2012 Antigoni has been working at Microsoft Hellas supporting the business units in Greece, Cyprus, and Malta on a wide range of commercial matters with a particular focus on cloud computing, data protection and compliance matters.
Antigoni is also a member of the local leadership team and actively supported Microsoft’s “Ancient Olympia: Common Grounds” and “Data Center” projects in Greece.
