Focus on: Kypros Santis

By managing all aspects of MHV’s legal function, Kypros Santis’ overall objective is to reduce the group’s legal risk. In addition to the ongoing assessment and definition of the legal team’s long-term strategic initiatives, Kypros‘ broad range of responsibilities includes ongoing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financing/refinancing projects, licensing agreements and general corporate day-to-day matters. Kypros also assists MHV’s various business units in achieving the group’s commercial objectives. This includes working with stakeholders on projects ranging from property sales and development to the licensing and leasing of commercial space within the group’s portfolio of high-end hotels. In addition, Kypros manages board and investor relations and relationships with financial institutions.  
 
With an LLB degree from the University of Bristol, Kypros is a dual qualified lawyer, trained as a solicitor in England and Wales and as an advocate in Cyprus. His extensive experience lies primarily in finance and corporate and M&A transactions, having worked on a number of high profile cross-border transactions in both London and Cyprus. This included seven years at a city law firm in London before returning to Cyprus to join a Big Four-affiliated law firm, where he managed a team of seven before leaving at the director level.
