Bio

Afroditi holds a degree in Law and an L.L.M. in International and European Law, both from the University of Athens, where she graduated in 2006. She began her professional career in 2006 as an associate in a Greek law firm providing services to international clientele and was mainly involved in commercial litigation.  

She then joined APIVITA in 2012 when its founders, Niki & Nikos Koutsianas, entrusted her with the establishment of the company’s legal function and has since then headed the company’s legal affairs. APIVITA is a purpose driven company committed to meeting the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability. The company offers effective natural beauty products, with a presence in 50 countries. As of 2020, the company is a 100% subsidiary of PUIG, the Barcelona-based beauty conglomerate. 2023 was a very challenging year. She enlargened her duties in key areas of legal practice by undertaking, on top of APIVITA, the legal affairs of URIAGE SAS in Paris, for one year. Key points of her experience are implementing the change of corporate governance structure in APIVITA and URIAGE and its nine subsidiaries in EU and China. She manages the global trademark portfolio of both brands, APIVITA and URIAGE. Additionally, she is involved in complex cross-border litigations arising from distribution and supplier agreements. She also expertly manages the preliminary due diligence documentation for URIAGE and APIVITA, within the context of the group’s initial public offering and its admission to trading on Spanish Stock Exchanges.
