How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?
Being a member of the upper executive team I am in a position to have a very good knowledge of the business strategy and, thus, to act proactively in most cases. Agility and adjustments are key yet there is no one recipe for all situations.
What emerging technologies do you see as having the most significant impact on the legal profession in the near future, and how do you stay updated on these developments?
We are in a phase of major transformation in terms of technologies we use, working very closely with the IT people and moving to the aim of going paperless as much as possible by the end of 2025.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
We are not judging anyone on the grounds of any identity issue. We are looking for talent and character regardless of race, sex, gender, political or philosophical affiliations. As a result of our non-discriminatory policies and culture, more than half (5 out of 8) of our leadership team are female.
In your opinion, what are the main trends that are salient in your country currently?
A proper answer to this question would require many pages. In brief, taking proper note of the concerns of the people and being able to adequately address them. For PPC, the leading energy group of companies in Southeastern Europe, the constant aim is to secure sustainable access to energy and protecting the planet.
