Its personnel are on the cutting edge of technology contracts for cloud services, hardware and software following the nature of the company’s global business units, combining a strong in-country presence with various centralised resources dealing with more dedicated functions. In Greece, Oracle’s legal department consists of two lawyers assisted by a number of legal support groups. Hans Brems joined Oracle in 2010 with the acquisition of Sun Microsystems. He is now in the position of managing counsel with an EMEA-wide role, being responsible for all legal matters throughout the EMEA region relating to the Java global business unit, the communications global business unit and the European Union and all its agencies and institutions. Senior legal manager Elina Kaziani, on the other hand, joined Oracle in 2008. Her areas of expertise includes negotiating and drafting complex deals and high-profile agreements, while she has a cross-functional oversight supporting all lines of business and company functions.
