Piraeus Bank
Listed on the Athens Exchange, Piraeus Bank is one of the four systemic banks of Greece and subject to the supervision of the Single Supervisory Mechanism of the European Central Bank. Given its extreme importance to the economy of the country as a whole, it is unsurprising that it maintains a large and extremely well-qualified legal team which is fully able to support the daily operations and transactions of the Bank. Head of the in-house legal department of Piraeus Bank is George Liakopoulos, a senior and well-respected corporate lawyer widely recognised and appraised by the local legal community who came in for particular praise in this role from nominating sources. Nominators also named other well-reputed in-house counsel of the Piraeus Bank in-house legal team as Voula Christodoulopoulou and Fofi Metaxotou. Both came highly commended for their expert support of a number of strategic company projects.
