Bio
Daniela Falfán Mayer is an accomplished Mexican lawyer with nearly two decades of experience in the legal and compliance sectors, known for her leadership in anti-corruption, business ethics, and inclusion. She currently serves as General Counsel at L’Oréal Mexico, the world’s leading beauty company, where she oversees legal, regulatory, and compliance matters at the national level.
Daniela holds a Law degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City Campus (2003–2007), where she graduated with distinction and received the Borrego de Oro, the institution’s highest student honor. She earned a master’s degree in Constitutional Procedural Law from Universidad Panamericana (2008–2010) and completed an Executive MBA in High Management at IPADE Business School.
In recognition of her trailblazing work, Daniela has been nominated and featured in several prestigious rankings: in Expansión magazine’s “30 Promises for Mexico” (2016) for her pioneering efforts in Compliance and anti-corruption; by Foro Jurídico as one of Mexico’s Most Influential Lawyers (2023); and as a finalist for General Counsel of the Year (2024) by Women in Business Law.
Her career spans leadership roles at major multinational corporations including Nextel (now AT&T), 3M, Walmart, and INDITEX, the world’s largest fashion retailer. Her expertise in corporate law and compliance has positioned her as a trusted advisor and strategic leader across industries.
A passionate advocate for gender equality and inclusion, Daniela has led numerous corporate Gender & Diversity Committees and is a co-founder of the Women in Compliance Mentoring Program. She also served as a Board Member of the National Board of Directors of ANADE (National Association of In-House Lawyers) and was a member of the Inclusion and Diversity Commission at the Business Coordinating Council (CCE). Daniela is an active member of Abogadas MX, a national association promoting the advancement of women in the legal profession.
