Can you discuss your or your company’s efforts relating to renewability, sustainability, or other environmentally-friendly activities?

I have the pleasure of attesting that Sanfer’s top management has granted the legal team the opportunity to play a crucial role in driving and supporting sustainability efforts within the organisation. One of the main goals of Sanfer’s legal team is to ensure that sustainability goals are achieved in compliance with laws and regulations and to help embed sustainability into the company’s broader business strategy. I am proud to confirm that more than 60% of the group’s waste in Mexico is recycled. Most of our plants in Mexico have achieved 0% landfill waste. Starting in 2024, we launched sustainable packaging with FSC certification for most of our products. We have installed photovoltaic systems in our plants in Mexico, with 3,650 solar panels now in operation, expecting a reduction of 1,500 tons of CO2e. Lastly, in 2024, we received a Certificate of Environmental Benefits from the Environmental Protection Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the Safe and Healthy Work Environments Distinction.
