Ana Silvia Dias Haynes, dual Brazilian and British citizen, with over 22 years of solid legal and regulatory experience working for and advising multinational and locally-based companies in Southeast Asia, South Korea, Japan & India, Brazil & Latin America, EMEA regions.

She has practiced in Baker & McKenzie, Brazil office, between 1997 and 2005, as part of their infrastructure/M&A/corporate/tax teams. In 2005, she joined BG Group/Shell to be their legal manager for mid and downstream business, involving energy and gas agreements and deals to deliver energy, natural gas, renewables and cogeneration solutions to industries and commercial business mainly focused on South America (with a few initiatives in India). She joined Diageo in 2007, to work as their South America senior legal counsel/PUB manager, with the important role of building a solid locally based legal and compliance teams and contributing as Comex board member. In 2010, she joined the Diageo PLC HQ as senior legal counsel for corporate/finance and compliance/internal audit, with a global scope of work. In London, she also had the experience of head of legal and compliance for the EMEA at the AES Electric (part of The AES Corporation), leading many of their energy-business compliance, regulatory and legal projects. In 2014, she returned to Brazil as the general counsel for Brazil and Latin America for Essilor (visional health industry), working in several M&A deals with a LatAm and Brazil Comex seats. She was also their local compliance director until 2019. Ana Silvia joined the EssilorLuxottica SEAK, Japan and India team as regional general counsel based in Singapore since early 2022, to manage the local legal and regulatory teams. Since mid-2021 she has actively participated in certain Asia Pacific projects.
