Delia Lang is the Global Head of Legal and General Counsel Asia Pacific at Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI). Based in Hong Kong, Delia is responsible for the firm’s global legal function, as well as the legal and compliance functions in Asia Pacific. Delia co-chairs the firm’s Legal, Compliance & Risk Committee and serves as a member of AllianzGI’s Audit Committee, Global Product Committee and International Management Group, in addition to her roles in various committees and boards in Asia.

At AllianzGI, Delia’s Global Legal teams ensure consistent governance in legal policies and regulatory framework while supporting product launches, new initiatives, business expansions and other developments in Europe, Asia, and the US. In close partnership with the businesses, Delia formulates strategic advice and solutions that enable AllianzGI’s regional or local businesses to operate within AllianzGI’s global integrated framework and operations. Her Global Legal teams have been critical to major acquisitions and the integration of the acquired businesses in AllianzGI, as well as crisis management, be it IT incidents, litigations or regulatory investigations. Her Compliance teams in Asia lead the management of AllianzGI’s regulatory relationships, implement globally and locally aligned compliance programmes and skillfully handle routine and non-routine regulatory interactions in the region.

Delia was promoted to AllianzGI’s Global Head of Legal in October 2023, five years after joining AllianzGI as General Counsel Asia Pacific from BMO Financial Group, where she was Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, Asia. Prior to BMO, she held various roles at BlackRock Asset Management and Credit Suisse Group, including Head of Compliance ex-Japan and Head of Legal and Compliance Asia Pacific Asset Management Division. Prior to Credit Suisse, Delia practised at the law firms of Baker & McKenzie, Milbank Tweed LLP and Paul Hastings LLP
