Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group was listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in December 2011, and has pride of place among the biggest retailers of jewellery in Greater China. The company has a retail presence across Greater China, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and the US. It is also developing its e-commerce business and implementing online to offline business lines to strengthen its place in the changing retail environment. The in-house legal department is busy with its management of the legal affairs in these areas as well as with the opening of a new artistic incubation space “Loupe” in April 2018, and the partnership agreement in May 2018 with the Gemological Institute of America to develop blockchain technology to deliver its digital diamond grading reports to customers, a first for the company. As the company expands its business the team will continue its work on protecting the IP of its products and new technologies, as is vital to the jewellery business as a creative industry.
