Ricky Chan Ming Tak, legal director and company secretary, has led the legal team at Link REIT since August 2010, bringing with him over 33 years of experience in the legal profession and specialties in real estate, corporate finance, company listing, and international transactions. The company was the first real estate investment trust listed in Hong Kong in 2005, and today has a portfolio of properties across Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, including nine million square feet of retail space, three million of which is in mainland China. The company also has a portfolio of office space and car parks, which require the legal team’s expertise on all partnership agreements, leasing, supply contracts and other legal details. The firm’s most recent development project is based in Kowloon East CBD, along with Nan Fung Group, a major project in the important real estate space of the city’s financial district.
