Therefore, the legal team, led by Sunny Leung, head of legal, corporate finance, for greater China and North Asia, has an important responsibility in ensuring all business strategy and operations are undertaken in a legally secure and compliant way. Leung has led the regional legal team since 2009, and the team’s remit includes supporting the advisory and lending businesses within the Bank’s corporate finance division in the Asian region. More specifically, the team handles legal matters in M&A advisory, leveraged finance, project finance, structured trade finance and financing solutions, structured finance and loan syndications. The team also serves as a product specialist for the M&A advisory business globally.
