SHKP is one of the largest property developing companies in Hong Kong, first listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1972. Last year it earned US$11bn in revenue and is listed in the Forbes 2000 companies list and employs 37,000 people. Recently the team has been busy fulfilling its wide remit of mitigating all legal matters for the company as well as supporting the expansion of its portfolio and land bank including the sales of its “Grand Waterfront phase 2” in Dongguan and “The Arch Suites” at Chengdu ICC projects, and the opening of “PopWalk 2” and “PopWalk 3” and the full opening of YOHO MALL. It is also diversifying its investments in the form of digital technology. The company has recently launched a free to use multimedia digital reading platform called “linepaper.” These projects and others that are expanding the normal remit of the company are challenging the legal team to adapt and testing its versatility.
