A specialist in shopping centre properties across Europe, French company Klépierre owns seven shopping centres in Portugal managing over 240,000 squared metres of gross leasable area. The company’s legal director in the country is Ana Almeida who is regarded as ‘an experienced lawyer’ by nominators who also say she is ‘always available and has a good insight and input to give on any matter we work together with’.
Having joined Klépierre in 2004, she has a thorough knowledge of the company and sector, and in her role manages public and private companies of the Group as well as being responsible for relations with official, regional and local authorities. Other integral parts of her role include overseeing all contract and litigation related matters as well as monitoring human resource management. Prior to her current role, Almeida had notable senior in-house positions at Sumol Group and Compal. She obtained her degree in law from Lusíada University of Lisbon in 1996.
