Haitong Bank is a Chinese financial institution that is one of the leading investment banks and securities firms in China, and has a wide range of investment banking services for corporate and institutional clients across several regions including Iberia.

As the head of legal and with nearly two decades of service to the Bank, Filipe Hasse Ferreira – an inclusion on the GC Powerlist: Iberia in 2016 – is known in the market for his provision of legal advice pertaining to all aspects of banking and financial laws. He has experience in structuring and negotiating transactions, drafting contracts, analysing guarantees and giving advice to the Bank’s credit committee, consistently working closely with the credit and the investment banking areas.

He has close links with senior management including the Bank’s CEO, who he works with providing advice in the credit area, a strong area of growth for Bank in the coming years as it seeks to supplement its core activities of corporate and investment banking services.
