How do you suggest in-house lawyers build strong relationships with business partners?

Strong relationships are built based on high professional and legal standards – ethics and integrity. It is also essential that in-house lawyers are directly involved in the organisation and called to contribute to the achievement of targets and professional accomplishments set by the group.

How do you feel the pandemic has changed the world of work for in-house counsel and the function of the general counsel?

The pandemic has undoubtedly changed how legal departments operate within companies. We all had to adopt a reactive and quick response to manage the situation. At SGS, the management team and the legal department co-operated, doing their best to overcome obstacles posed by the pandemic while keeping our standards high both in terms of legal counselling and provision of services.
