Banco BPI is a major privately owned bank in Portugal owned by Spanish bank CaixaBank. Banco BPI internal legal department supports all of the Bank’s activities and is led by Alexandre Lucena e Vale, member of the board of directors of Banco BPI and by Luís Graça Moura principal director. The legal department is divided to deal with various areas of the bank through its multi-channel distribution, such as matters involving corporate transactions, data protection and digital banking, M&A and corporate finance and structured finance. Among the internal legal department we highlight the legal team ascribed to the financial and corporate and investment banking departments led by Sérgia Narciso. She and her team are tasked to assist on banking, finance, debt capital markets transactions, derivatives and structured finance and are deeply involved in a large number of transactions in the Portuguese market.
