The Endesa legal team provides full support to all nuclear power plants operated by the company in Spain and Portugal and is led by Francisco de Borja Acha Besga, a legal manager and highly revered professional with a legal career of over 27 years. The Spanish team has been praised for its work on the 60% acquisition of Enel Green Power España for €1.2bn from its parent company, as well as 1.6GW of online wind assets. In Portugal specifically, the legal team has worked on leading the signing of the concession agreement with the Portuguese state for the development Girabolhos’ dam in the north of Portugal. As a majority-owned subsidiary of Enel, most recently the legal team has assisted in Enel’s plans to build 900MW wind farms in Zaragoza, Northern Spain, helping Endesa promote innovation and sustainability by leveraging on Spain’s wealth of renewable energy sources.
