Asha Kutty Dang is a legal counsel with over 13 years of experience with a specific focus on the growing technology sector. Asha has been a trusted legal advisor for Google for six years and has supported critical businesses including Google Cloud, Google Ads Youtube, Google Play and Search. Currently, Asha is the India and West Asia regional legal counsel for the rapidly growing Google Cloud Business. Google Cloud is on a solid growth trajectory globally, with an annual run rate of over US$24bn.

Prior to Google, she had over seven years of experience working with Tier 1 law firms in India such as AZB & Partners and Trilegal where she built her expertise in the private equity/M&A, telecom, technology and media space.

With many years of experience in negotiations, she has closed complex and significant commercial deals in India for Google Cloud with customers and partners across sectors including from the banking, insurance and security markets sectors, telecommunications, media digital natives, e-commerce, etc. She is considered as a trusted and key legal stakeholder for Google Cloud cross-functional stakeholders in the region including sales, channels and ecosystems, marketing, government affairs and public policy.

She has also guided the launch of various cloud services and features from an India regulatory lens. She is also a key and invaluable member of the Google Cloud legal team and helps the company and its customers understand and navigate through the complex and ever-evolving regulatory landscape for the region. Her key areas of legal expertise include information technology, cybersecurity and data privacy laws and sector specific regulations including media, telecommunications and financial services laws.
