Focus on: My career

I am an experienced professional with more than eight years of demonstrated experience in the legal industry. I am an alumnus of School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore, and I hold the degree of BBA-LLB (H). I have a keen interest in corporate, media, entertainment, intellectual property rights and information technology laws.

Currently, I am working with Jukin Media (India), as an in-house legal counsel providing support to the APAC region. My job requires work through all manner of issues for sales, streaming/ad tech, licensing, web, privacy, trademarks, streaming content acquisition, labour laws, data and privacy amongst other things.

Being the sole lawyer for Jukin, I would consider myself as a one-man army for all legal requirements of Jukin. Jukin, being a second-tier subsidiary of Trusted Media Brands, opened its doors in India only a few years back, which means Jukin is growing here in India making my job a very challenging one at every step, as I wouldn’t know what would come knocking on my door.  My job requires me to ensure that we are compliant with the laws of India while keeping the interest of the business stakeholders in mind.

My legal journey started as a fresher with a small division in the Times Group, where I had the opportunity of working with great legal personalities, which shaped me to become what I am today.  I was given an award for “Outstanding performance in Legal support and Compliance” for FY 2016-17.

Moving ahead came the digital world of Wynk Music and Airtel Xstream, which gave me exposure to technology, data and privacy laws. With Airtel Digital Limited, I was able to apply my extensive research skills to independent assignments, collaborating on my legal research while working with different litigation teams.

I grew with each organisation as I applied myself where I worked. I learned; I grew. In my eight years of learning the law I have been able to build strong professional relationships with my colleagues and clients.

I am adept at making critical decisions and managing deadlines. I strongly believe that hard work and dedication are the key to success and happiness at every turn and one can meet any job demands and deadlines through diligent work-ethic with dedication to quality.
