If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why? 

Be business enablers, develop commercial understanding, thoroughly assess the underlying risks of any project or contract well, be hungry to learn, get involved and make mistakes, and challenge the status quo! The legal role has evolved over time, from being a reactive function to a proactive function with a seat on the table along with business teams right from the start of a project, product design or service proposition.
