Spotlight on…

As general counsel and head of corporate security for _VOIS at Vodafone, Priyanka handles end-to-end legal, enterprise risk management, compliance management, corporate secretarial and corporate security at _VOIS locations across India, Hungary, Romania, Egypt, Albania, Spain, and Turkey. 

Additionally, as managing director for _VOIS India Centre consisting of over 14,000 colleagues, she is responsible for overall governance of the centre. She is also serving as board member to other Vodafone companies in India – responsible for internal and external governance of these companies.  

Priyanka comes with over 22 years of experience in various aspects of legal, compliance, risk management and corporate governance domain – serving as instrumental member of and, advisor to executive management, implementing strategic business growth initiatives, building strong board relations, creating powerful internal and external alliances, managing through crisis and change and overseeing all aspects of corporate governance and the corporate legal function. 

Prior to her current role, she worked with various MNCs as a general counsel at Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell), Optum Global Services (UHG), Convergys. In her earlier days, she worked as legal counsel in Honeywell and Pernod Ricard.  

Prior to taking up in-house roles, she has also worked with various mid-to-large sized law firms in India, where she has managed litigation and dispute resolution, all aspects of contracts, M&A transactions, IPR issues, documentation, and other legal issues.
