Could you share an example of a time when you came up with an innovation that improved how your legal team works and did not come at a large expense?  

We recently rolled out a governance portal to allow for complete, and straightforward, observation of the legal and governance documents spanning across around 800 entities of the group. This has brought considerable efficiency and robustness in the governance and compliance framework. 

What are the most significant cases or transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?  

We have recently been involved in several acquisitions, including the acquisition of Ambuja and ACC from Holcim, in the larger leveraged buyout in India of over $10bn, and the acquisition of NDTV, by an indirect hostile takeover process 

If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why?  

Always find ways to contribute back to the profession as this is the best way for continuous learning.
