This condenses the chance of variations in the contracts, facilitates easy references, and helps achieve uniformity in documentation, time management, and cost efficiency.  
 
What are the most significant cases and transactions that your legal team has recently been involved in?  
 
The team has internally handled the entire contract management for one of the prestigious and luxury retail projects about to launch very shortly in Mumbai. The team has successfully handled all the documentation in-house, working with international brands mainly represented by international and local prestigious law firms.  
 
If you had to give advice to an aspiring in-house lawyer or general counsel, what would it be and why?  
 
As an in-house lawyer, it is essential to understand the business and the vision of the company, as well as the transactions involved. Adopt robust standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the teams and ensure that the company’s goals are achieved within the ambit of the legal framework and SOP. Serve as comprehensive support to the business in overcoming obstacles and achieving the company’s goals. However, be vigilant about compliance and do not hesitate to raise red flags if the need arises. While it may seem obstructive at times, it will have a much-needed positive impact in favour of the company.
