Shalini Saxena is the head of legal for CoinDCX a unicorn global company in the crypto space. She has been a Delhi university student, both for her bachelors at law and master’s degrees on “Juvenile Delinquency” a social issue she continues to support. Shalini has over 23 years of experience as a corporate counsel, with the last two decades of her working in sectors such as consumer finance, manufacturing, social media, fintech, renewables and now in the crypto industry.
Prior to CoinDCX, her earlier stints were with GE, NASPERS and PINE LABS. It is her diverse and multi-industry experience that has helped her create a niche of being a business and commercially intense lawyer, assisting starts up in creating the much-needed balance between processes, policies and agility of work. As a functional expert and leader for multiple geographies at companies like GE Renewables, Pine Labs and now CoinDCX, her experience has been instrumental in earning a seat on the table for the function and to break the traditional mindset of “preaching and roadblock” to being a business enabler.
Not one to actively network, she has taken up speaker sessions for educational institutions and some industry forums, on various topic, some of which are outside the legal domain. A waiting in the wing candidate for institutional sessions teaching is something she would like to dedicate more time to in the near future.
Shalini is also a co-founder to an online dispute resolution platform CADRE, which provides easy access to justice at a low cost to everyone. Being early leaders on dispute resolutions at institutions like GE, this personal venture is just a manifestation of her belief of justice being easy and affordable for all.
