What are the most significant or transactions that you have been involved in over the past year? 

I have been involved in various divestment and M&A transactions for Bayer in South Asia in the past year. Since the Bayer group operates across three verticals; Crop Science, Pharmaceuticals and Consumer Healthcare, I have been responsible for licensing of IP rights for third parties as well as involved in launches of new therapy treatments in the Pharmaceuticals space. I have also advised on the launch of new products in the Consumer Healthcare segment besides projects in the sustainability space in the Crop Science division. Besides this, we had successes in a variety of litigation in the Crop Science division. Also, since Bayer’s flagship company is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange, I dealt with numerous issues arising from the fast paced changes introduced by SEBI in order to advise the board and its various committees.
