Feidhlimidh Wrafter is the key adviser to WUPSIL’s board and senior management regarding all governance, legal and regulatory affairs matters. His role involves mitigating and managing risk across all 30 EEA jurisdictions in which WUPSIL operates in. Wrafter and his team provided exceptional legal coverage for Western Union’s enterprise risk management function to support Western Union’s increasing risk, strategy, innovation and business transformation efforts and requirements. It provides enhanced risk oversight in an integrated way that considers risk as part of strategy and performance, thus creating opportunities for the business by enhancing enterprise resilience and long-term viability. It also provides legal coverage for Western Union’s enterprise governance needs, particularly areas with complex cross-functional operational needs and regulatory obligations, such as: Cybersecurity, information security, privacy, IT, operations, outsourcing oversight, and regulatory change management. Wrafter also continues in his role as head of legal of WUPSIL, Western Union’s main regulated entity in Europe, advising its Board and senior management regarding all aspects of its governance, legal and regulatory affairs in order to mitigate and manage risk across the EEA under its Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) payment services licence.
