As general counsel for Bartra Capital Property, Sally Anne Sherry plays a key role in some of the most significant real estate transactions in Ireland. In 2018, among other substantial transactions, she oversaw the acquisition as part of a joint venture with Henley Investments of two office blocks in Citywest Business Campus for €6.5m. Sherry began her in-house career as legal counsel for Treasury Holdings in Dublin and London, where she worked for two years. In her role there, she contributed to its achievement of the largest ever planning application in Central London for the re-development of Battersea Power Station. Prior to commencing her in-house legal career, Sherry worked in top Irish law firm, Matheson, for five years. Other highlights of her career include the signing of the first ever “enhanced lease” with the Irish State in 2019 and the signing of a development agreement with Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE, an Irish state body) for a joint venture arrangement to develop a 200,000 square-foot office building in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock in 2018.
