‘Since his appointment as EMEA head for securities services legal, Stephen MacKenzie has been instrumental in the development of the legal capability of the security services team. In particular, he has been heavily involved with the expansion of the Dublin and Belfast security services offerings. MacKenzie has played a key role in ensuring that the legal arm of the security services team is sufficiently resourced and has the necessary skills to deal with the legal and regulatory challenges which confront the team on an on-going basis, particularly the challenges posed by Brexit. MacKenzie has considerable experience in the industry and has developed strong skills as a team leader through his previous leadership roles, most notably as head of markets structuring legal and EMEA head of commodities legal within Barclays Investment Bank’.
