Coming in for particular praise from nominating sources on the back of an established record of innovation, the Aer Lingus legal team also successfully supports and manages the myriad of...
The legal team at Ireland’s flag carrier airline Aer Lingus is staffed with extremely experienced in-house counsel to guide the second largest airline in Ireland through the complex regulatory environment of the aviation industry. With years of experience behind them, the team have been instrumental in securing excellent deals for the airline in the face of changing conditions related to the market and the company they serve. Indeed, Aer Lingus has undergone structural changes in recent years, bring privatised and under new ownership in 2015 when global international aircraft company IAG bought the company in a €1.36bn deal which saw the Government sell its stake in the national carrier. Growing its business by expanding its North American routes, Aer Lingus plans to roll out more services to the US and Canada in 2017. Thankfully it can rely on the sterling work of its legal function to ensure its plans for expansion go smoothly, upskilling and further training in international law if necessary.
