Endo’s global headquarters in Dublin plays an important role in the overall company strategy and has rapidly expanded to now include more than 75 employees, supporting the Irish business and the company’s growing global reach. Complementing operations across locations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South Africa, Endo became an Irish registered company after establishing a new global headquarters in Ireland in February 2014. Orla Dunlea joined Endo as international legal counsel and company secretary based in Dublin in September 2014, bringing multi-jurisdictional experience to the role gained in leading law firms in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. Endo has made a number of acquisitions outside the United States in recent years, and the legal advice and guidance led from Dublin has allowed the transactions to run smoothly and efficiently. According to Dunlea, a key part of this day-to- day work is ‘maintaining the integrity of corporate entities and making sure we are fully compliant with local laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate’, encapsulating a broad scope both geographically and legally. As a member of Endo’s Legal Leadership team, Dunlea gains insight on other key legal issues affecting Endo in the United States and also enjoys a dotted line to the chairman of the board in her role as Company Secretary.
