Led by UK-based Mark Maurice-Jones, Nestlé’s Ireland-focused legal team has been extremely proactive in terms of process improvements lately, especially in the area of internal compliance. ‘About a year ago’, Maurice-Jones explains, ‘we launched a compliance app which allows relevant information to be accessed instantly by whoever needs it. This is just one part of a major project we have undertaken around driving a culture of openness and transparency – we want to ensure that our people are able to speak up and challenge authority if they feel the need to’.
