O’Sullivan, in leading the legal team since the company’s founding in 2015, is a specialist in tech law, commercial contracting, corporate governance and data protection law. The SIRO legal team, which includes Rachel Lalor (commercial, corporate counsel), has led on a number of commercial transactions and has been instrumental in keeping the company on track with regard to its 2018 programme. Under O’Sullivan’s leadership, the team has skilfully navigated complex legal issues associated with a national infrastructure project and joint venture business. ‘While the legal issues can be challenging, it is the challenge that makes the work so interesting’, O’Sullivan says. The team has closed out a number of substantial transactions in the past year, including a: €25m fibre infrastructure deal with Huawei; a €20m supply agreement with the French company Axione and its Irish partner Obelisk and strategic commercial agreement with SKY Ireland amongst others.
