Looking forward, what technological advancements do you feel will impact the role of in-house legal teams in the future the most?

I think that gradually, as AI solutions will be more and more advanced and be able to replace humans in simple legal tasks — such as reviewing simple agreements — the advantage of legal teams will be in the more complicated legal issues and in matters where understanding of human behaviour and complex scenarios are needed.

What would you say are the unique qualities required to be successful as an in-house lawyer in your industry?

An essential quality is understanding what is more and less critical, specifically in a changing environment. Understanding and reading people are also important qualities. The ability to quickly (and independently) learn new things — technologies, products, and markets — is also very relevant in the tech industry.
