Ilana Berman-Nir spent the first decade of her career focusing on employment matters while working primarily in Herzog, one of Israel’s leading law firms. Over the past seven years, Ilana has been working as senior legal counsel at Varonis Systems — a global cyber security company. At Varonis, Ilana built and led the employment legal practices for the company in over a dozen countries around the world and advised on local and global processes, considering the different legal requirements, business needs and cultural differences. Over the last few years, Ilana also developed a comprehensive privacy compliance practice at Varonis, acquiring an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the technology, collaborating with multiple stakeholders in all departments across the company, ensuring Varonis’ various products and processes are compliant with the rapidly evolving legal privacy landscapes across the globe. Ilana received an LLB from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and an LLM from the Tel Aviv University. Ilana is also a certified mediator and she completed various additional professional training over the years.
