Rinat Shiran-Rasky is the head of legal, international markets at Teva Pharmaceuticals, leading a diverse team of more than thirty in-house lawyers and developing them to become legal guardians, strategic business partners and value creators. Rinat is an experienced executive with a demonstrated history of combining science, law and business in the pharmaceutical industry, having vast experience in legal, IP and compliance.

She is known for her ability to establish, develop and lead strong, professional, strategic and diverse teams to become business partners and focus on incorporating out of the box thinking in order to create value. In her current position, Rinat is responsible for all legal strategies in international markets, a region comprising of 27 markets, including key countries in Latin America, Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. The international markets region is the most diverse region at Teva, from a geographical, cultural, regulatory and law perspective.

Under Rinat’s leadership, the team has been able to find increasing similarities and common practices in their role as in-house counsel, learning to turn their differences into a synergy, designing best practices and processes to protect Teva’s business across international markets and create value for Teva. Prior to her current role, Rinat spent almost 20 years in the IP Global Group at Teva, holding several senior patent attorney roles, with her last role being general patent counsel, head of global IP. Rinat has an interdisciplinary background, she holds a LLB from Reichman University, MSc in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, is a certified lawyer and a certified patent attorney.
