Agostino Nuzzolo is an experienced executive vice president currently in charge of legal, regulatory and tax affairs with a demonstrated history of working in diversified industrial sectors. In January 2017, Nuzzolo joined TIM, a major Italian telecommunications company, listed on Milan and New York stock exchanges and with an annual turnover of around €19bn. He has amassed a long management career, showing the adaptability to deal with challenges and apply changes with flexibility, combined with strong legal and tax expertise. He has applied these qualities to redefine the organisation by processes with a logic of full responsibility end to end, embedding both legal and regulatory functions. ‘The result has been a leaner, faster and more horizontal organisation closer to the operations’ says Nuzzolo. He has gone on to create and implement the group compliance programme, adding a company-wide awareness of compliance skills and better understanding and alignment of ethical objectives with business ones. Nuzzolo started his career at Guardia Di Finanza, an Italian law enforcement agency under the authority of the Minister of Economy and Finance, working there for 20 years, before joining Italcementi Group, at the time a listed company in the Milan Stock Exchange and the fifth largest cement producer in the world. During his ten year career at Italcement, he was assigned increasing responsibilities, starting as tax manager, legal and tax director, group legal, tax and compliance director, coordinating more than 23 countries pertaining to the group and finally general counsel, group legal, tax and compliance director. In 2016, when Italcementi was absorbed by a competitor, Nuzzolo moved to Italmobiliare as director of operations, which included legal, corporate, tax, HR, general services and purchasing.
