Before her move in to the in-house legal sector, Lina Vitolo had been working for almost six years as a competition lawyer in major law firms in Italy and Belgium. Her in-house career took off in 2012 when she took on the role of legal counsel at global leader in logistics United Parcel Services, going on to serve as general counsel for Italy, Spain and Portugal for two years. Since October 2017 she has served as the head of legal of Iliad Italia, managing the legal affairs of the fourth largest mobile operator in Italy. ‘I have created a legal team of four legal counsels for Iliad Italia and will keep on the adventure and support the start-up activities of the company, which launched its service in May 2018’ adds Vitolo. During her time within this role she has taken steps to make efficient risk assessment as a default step in each and every project. Becoming a point of reference for finding solutions, meeting business objectives and respecting applicable rules, creating powerful relations with authorities and partners. Vitolo previously worked at multinational food products corporation Danone in Paris for a year, joining its global compliance team where she served as senior compliance manager and antitrust counsel.
