Pietro Arosio has accrued a lengthy career at Swiss multinational investment bank and financial services company UBS, joining the Italian branch in 2002 as head of the legal department. Over the years he has assumed increasing responsibilities, becoming the head of legal and compliance in 2009, general counsel in 2013 and finally assuming his current role with the additional jurisdictional responsibility of Iberia in 2015. He has been recognised for his work to export the knowledge and expertise of his team to other company departments, transforming it into a centre of excellence and a department that is vital to the organisation with opinions of lawyers always taken into consideration. Arosio’s legal banking and financial career has been thoroughly extensive, spending his entire legal in-house career working for various banks. He started his career at Banca Popolare di Monza e Brianza in 1994 and in 1998 he went on to assume a legal position at Banca Farmactoring, in 2000 he joined Comdirect Bank as an internal lawyer. Prior to his current role he served as the general secretary and corporate stake at Italian bank, insurance and asset management conglomerate, Banca Mediolanum.
