What do you feel are the pros and cons of an in-house legal role compared to a private practice one?

The in-house legal role allows us to study and expand our experience of the relevant transactions assessing all implications, including those relating to operations, compliance, tax, investors, and this is something that cannot be dealt with when acting as an external counsel. However, as for the cons, there is this continued and demanding relationship with ‘internal’ clients, the ones who initiate business deals. Unlike the clients for external counsel, when legal problems arise, the internal clients can be difficult with in-house lawyers.
