What are some of the main trends impacting the industry sector you work in in Italy?
We are assisting brands increasing investments in suppliers, either strengthening commercial relationships or directly via acquisitions. This type of strategy aims to improve the production process with particular attention to the need to keep highly qualified personnel within its own supply chain. In view of the obvious competitive advantages, which may differ depending on the operation at stake, it is important to consider any potential drawback and risks, to adopt appropriate mitigants. In this, the role of in-house lawyers is central because we know internal dynamics well and know how to balance legal risks and business needs.
In this context, it is also worth mentioning an interesting role that external players are acting, i.e., the funds that are becoming aggregators of several small and medium-sized suppliers belonging to the luxury supply chain. It is an evolving scenario where new balances may take shape.
How do you prioritise diversity and inclusion within your legal department, and what initiatives have you implemented to foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment?
The team was founded in 2015 and over the years it has taken shape, and each member has proved his/her personal attitudes. Along the way, I worked hard to create a spirit of cooperation and respect, a place where the contribute of everyone is worthwhile and appreciated.
I have no doubt on the strength of the team and the brands we assist, as well, recognize the high-level assistance we provide on the various areas. Along the path that brought us together, I had appreciated the value of each member and I think that everyone had and has a chance to pursue his/her interests and professional growth.
