Chief group communication and external relations officer chief legal, corporate affairs and compliance officer after graduating in law in 2002, Francesco obtained his specialisation in legal professions and the qualification of lawyer in 2004. After a first experience as a private practice lawyer, he joined Barilla in 2007 in the Group Legal and Corporate Affairs unit, in the role of legal counsel. In 2010 he assumed responsibility for legal support for the Process Units, which in 2012 included the Corporate Affairs Unit and in 2014 the Compliance unit. In 2016 he was appointed coordinator of the Group Crisis Committee, and since 2019 leads the Committee. In this role he succeeded in managing significant and complex crises. In 2020 Francesco took over the role of chief communication and external relations officer, responsible for protecting, strengthening, and developing the reputation of the company and its brands. From April 2021 he took over the responsibility of Fondazione Barilla, in the role of vice president, being instrumental for the redesign and relaunch of the Foundation. From May 2023, Francesco has expanded his responsibility being also appointed chief legal, corporate affairs and compliance officer.
