How do you approach managing legal aspects during periods of instability or crises, and how does your legal strategy align with the broader business strategy to ensure the organisation’s resilience?   

Anticipating instability and crisis factors is key. As general counsel it is key to have constant contact with management and use legal reflexes to enrich the discussion and anticipate legal issues identifying the main area of risks. A risk management approach is the driver.  Be aligned with business objectives and with a positive approach aimed at finding solutions mitigating risks. 

How do you measure the impact of ESG initiatives on the company’s overall performance and reputation?  

ESG is a great opportunity to listen to stakeholders and their expectations and respond to the most significant long-term environment and social trends. This means the integration of sustainable development and producing innovative products to meet and exceed the expectations of customers and investors. ESG actions are properly monitored. 

How have you integrated technology into your legal processes, and what impact has this had on efficiency and compliance?   

Adoption of new reporting tools to monitor legal matters and legal expenses, requiring also an active participation of the external law firms. This is the right approach to obtain reporting and monitor evolution of legal files and keep legal fees under control in an efficient way.AI technology represents also a great opportunity to improve efficiency in the in-house legal organisation.
